American Pacific University

Whenever I first decided to make a trip to Pago Pago, located on the island of Tutuila in American Samoa, I figured I had better do some preliminary research. I searched online and eventually found American Pacific University, another useless blog in cyberspace claiming to be, "a private, for profit, institution of higher learning located in the Territory of American Samoa." Much to my chagrin I researched American Pacific University itself in hindsight, and I must report that some unaccredited institutions have formal legal authorization to enroll students or issue degrees, but in some jurisdictions (notably including the United States) legal authorization to operate is not the same as educational accreditation. It is in my opinion that American Pacific University falls under this guideline and is in no way an "institute of higher learning."
