Pago Pago, Tutuila, American Samoa

Just Another Useless Blog In Cyberspace.
But… this one may just save someone the hard and expensive "running of the gauntlet" involved in stepping onto the islands of American Samoa, and making it off:

  • Alive
  • Bug, Parisite and Disease Free
  • With Your Wallet Still Intact

Now then... upon my pre-visit investigation of the islands of American Samoa and the opportunity for modest accommodation, I found 2 online resources. One was BusyCorner Online and the other was American Pacific University. I was informed by "The American Pacific University Blogger" and I quote, "just show or put an ad in the Samoanews on-line" in order to, "yea. Rent a shack for 300-400 a month" and "you be OK in Manua with my family. We can find you a place on Tutuila with the music community."  His answer to my question, "how do I work out "room and board" with your family - what would be the expense?" was, and again I quote, "couple hundred a month maybe. You might have help with chores like fishing and plantation. They have broadband connection."
The "blogs" BusyCorner Online and  American Pacific University
turned out to be one and the same and "The Blogger" for both
was my contact for information regarding Pago Pago on the island of Tutuila in American Samoa"I found you a safe, clean room downtown for $300 month. Easy access to bus and marketplace where you can buy fresh produce cheap. Its called Scanlan Hotel. You can eat pretty good for 10 bucks a day or less. good family. all musicians.," was "The Blogger's" report.
